News | Doc Daneeka | Walk.Man Vol 1 | Ten Thousand Yen
Doc Daneeka kicks off his new 12″ series with Walk.Man Vol 1.
The two track release is led by “summer soul burner” Save Me, which has already garnered support from the likes of Gilles Peterson, The Black Madonna, Nick Höppner, Midland and Annie Mac. It’s the first in a series of 12”s dropping on Ten Thousand Yen over the next few months, finally being compiled into a mixtape on Cassette and Digital at the end of the Summer. The label will be announcing some exciting guest vocalists present on the rest of the Walk.Man series soon.
Welsh producer Doc Daneeka co-runs Ten Thousand Yen with Ian Yeti, racking up releases from the likes of Julio Bashmore, xxxy, C.R.S.T., and Mickey Pearce. The label reflects the exciting melting pot that is UK 4/4 music, nurturing sounds people may not necessarily expect to find on the same imprint, but share common elements either within bass or layered percussion.
