Following the release of The Bug‘s critically acclaimed Angels & Devils LP in late August fans learned that the album files contained no less than 160 archived demos and versions. ‘Exit’ took form from these previously unheard productions, taking the shape of a six track, 2x 12″ release on Ninja Tune.
‘Exit’ is a weighty, atmospheric release with guest appearances from Roll Deep’s Manga, Jamaican ragga vocalist Daddy Freddy and Liz Harris of Grouper.
Disc 1 contains 2 versions of the Harris’ vocalled “Void”, a considerably lighter, airier offering than Disc 2’s heavyweight bass-laced tracks. The release is housed in beautifully designed gate-fold packaging with artwork from Simon Fowler.
