The Independent label market makes a welcome return to Spitalfields this Christmas.

After a year that’s seen markets in LA, Berlin, Bristol and Hamburg, the team are returning home to the Old Spitalfields Market this weekend for their fifth Xmas event. They’re once again being supported by the Association of Independent Music and Last FM, bringing together well over 100 different labels and offering a slew of exclusives, signed goods, merchandise, rarities, test pressings and advance copies.

As always, they’ve got a really diverse selection of imprints on board; big names like XL Recordings, Ninja Tune, Big Dada, Brownswood and R&S, to drum & bass powerhouses like Andy C’s RAM Records and London Elektricity’s Hospital, by way of smaller indies like Secretsundaze, Nonclassical, Naim and Handsome Dad.

Music’s being played out live over the course of the market day, with the likes of the Last FM crew, Jazzman, First Word, !K7, Young Turks and Dom Servini’s Wah Wah 45s on DJ duties. Various craft beers will once again be on tap.

The ILM crew have put together a Christmas ’15 Soundcloud playlist to get you in the spirits for Saturday’s event. The 40+ tracklist has a little something for everyone and might even introduce you to some new music along the way.
