UK producer Murlo is set to release an EP on Brooklyn-based label Mixpak.

Odyssey will contain 8 tracks of his unique and unmistakable blend of dancehall, grime, RnB, UK funky and bassline, paying homage to the artist’s film score influences with a loose sonic narrative. The vinyl edition will come packaged in a full colour sleeve designed & painted by the man himself.

Speaking to FACT he said; “The EP has a loose story, involving a group of people leaving a planet, and the tracks have the story thread through them so you can follow the narrative as the EP goes on. It was difficult choosing which one tune to give for a stream in that respect but ‘Moodswung’ for me is the most personal out of the eight.”

Murlo’s music finds a well-suited home in Dre Skull’s Mixpak label, which shares his bashment and soca roots whilst simultaneously putting out music outside of genre boundaries or confines – from rappers, underground club producers and experimental electronic artists alike.
