News | Nina Kraviz | Nina Kraviz LP (Repress) | Rekids
Nina Kraviz’ self-titled debut album is set to be re-issued this week.
The Russian DJ returns to Radio Slave’s Rekids imprint for a double vinyl repress of her 2012 LP, dropping with a 7″ record holding two juke reworks of standout album track Ghetto Kraviz, mixed by Chicago’s ghetto house king DJ Slugo.
Originally a promoter at Moscow’s Propaganda nightclub, Nina honed her DJing craft on her own Friday night bills around the same time as signing to Jus-Ed’s Underground Quality label, releasing her debut single, Voices in 2008. 2009 saw her first EP on Rekids, where she’s continued to release music, including the 2012 album Nina Kraviz, which Resident Advisor gave 4/5 stars.
Kraviz has obviously kept herself busy since the original album dropped, playing frequent gigs across the world and somehow finding time to launch her own label in 2014, трип (Trip). трип showcases the trippier, acidic side of electronic music and has featured artists such as Deniro, Bjarki and Steve Stoll.
Rekids reissues Nina Kraviz on Friday the 4th December, 2015. Watch the video for hit single Ghetto Kraviz below.
