Villa Coco | This Time EP
Rising talent Villa Coco is back after her recent successful feature with ‘LAYH (VIP Mix)’ on ‘MY style’ compilation mixed by Subscape on Dub Police. Villa Coco strikes again with ‘This Time’ EP for her debut release. Lead track ‘This Time’ is my pick of the bunch, with its lush jazz chords and deep summer time grooves, instantly transporting you to warm surroundings, ‘This Time’ has already been supported by Naked Naked Records founder Breach, also Citizen (MadTech) and Skream (BBC Radio1). ‘Bird Song’ is full of bouncy basslines and rolling drums, which is surely designed for dancefloor purpose. ‘Let Go’ rounds off a solid debut, has Villa Coco takes matters slightly deeper, aided with a catchy vox sample.
