This week’s Trainer of the Week is the Puma x BWGH XS698 appearing in Blue. The XS698 drops as part of the second half of the Puma x Brooklyn We Go Hard ‘Joy’ Collection following the first part of the drop which was an extensive collection of premium clothing and footwear styles. The second half of the capsule collection features the XS698 and XS850 in the same palette of subdued blues and greys. The capsule drop features athletic 90′s inspired runners twinned with muted tones and the application of terry loop cotton worked onto the technical panelling of both the archive XS850 and the hybrid XS698 that drop side by side tomorrow morning.
The XS698 is a hybrid of the XS-850 and R-698; combining aspects from both models for a unique aesthetic, whilst still maintaining the aesthetic of classically styled early 90s performance silhouettes. The XS698 was one of the initial styles to drop under the Puma ‘CREAM’ tier; the runner receives a premium update from Parisian label BWGH. The XS698 is a hybrid of the XS-850 and R-698, receiving a premium make-over from Parisian label BWGH. The upper panels are constructed from premium suede with the mesh panel and suede overlays at the fore foot and tonal leather lining, tied together with a terry cotton form stripe tying the premium blend of materials on the silhouette together. Underfoot is a Trinomic contrasting off white vintage aesthetic midsole with a tonal slate outsole. Available with one pair of tonal laces and one pair of mottled laces.
